About the author

The Gifford Initiative is an organisation established by an Old Giffordian - Ronald Hamalala (Gifford 1987-1992) in order to help channel resources and support for the development of Gifford High School. This blog sets out the milestones, challenges, trivia etc. related to getting the Gifford Initiative going.

The broad objectives of the Gifford Initiative are as follows:

Improve communication between the Gifford High School and Old Giffordians

Mobilise Old Giffordians to help their school

Help establish an active Old Giffordians body

Raise funding and sponsorship for Gifford High School

Establish sustainable revenue streams for Gifford High School

Support the current teaching team and administration in making Gifford High School a successful school

Promote pride in Gifford as an educational institution amongst the staff, students and old boys
